JAW: A Playwrights Festival
Script submission guidelines for 2009
JAW 2009: July 13–26
Now in its eleventh year, JAW Playwrights Festival is a new play development program originally created in conjunction with New York Theatre Workshop. During JAW, Portland Center Stage hosts ten days of work that draw upon the talents of professional playwrights, directors, actors, dramaturgs and other collaborators. The Festival culminates in a process-oriented weekend of rehearsed readings presented to the theater community and the general public.
We will accept scripts for JAW 2009 from November 1, 2008 until February 1, 2009. Notification will begin after May 1, 2009.
- Please note: Unsolicited scripts are accepted only from Oregon residents.
- The submitted script must be full-length.
- The submission may have had a previous reading, but not a full production.
